Analyst Min-Chi Kuo talked about what the 2021 MacBook Pro models will be like. Based on data from industry sources and supply chain information, he concluded that Apple's line of "professional" laptops will face a major redesign.

According to Kuo, there will be two models: with screens of 14 and 16 inches. The cases will get square corners and flat edges, similar to the design of the iPad Pro and iPhone 12. Judging from past predictions, the displays are also new, with Mini-LED backlighting and improved contrast and brightness parameters.

By analogy with the iPhone, the MacBook will have a magnetic MagSafe charging connector, which Apple dropped in the Pro line in 2018 - it is not specified which form it will be. In addition, laptops will once again get the row of physical F-keys that Apple has been trying to replace for several years with a touchpad with contextual TouchBar keys.

Both MacBook Pros will run on Apple's own ARM processors, but there are no details about them. It is only reported that there will be more connectors on the case than the MacBook Pro 13 (M1), which is limited to only two Thunderbolt 3 due to the features of the M1 chip.
